President Jammeh Drops 4 Ministers

According to GRTS radio monitored in Banjul on Friday 5th February, President Jammeh has launched a major cabinet reshuffle relieving four cabinet ministers of their pots.  According to the news Mr. Jammeh was acting in accord with section 71 of the country’s constitution. The four relieved of their respective positions are Mr. Ismaila Sambou, the Minister of Local Government and Lands,  Mr. Lamin Bojang, the Minister of Works, Communication and Information, Mr. Antouman Saho, the Minister of Fisheries and Water Resources and Miss Nancy Njie, Minister of Tourism and Culture.  Mrs. Fatou Mass Jobe has been appointed to the Tourism and Culture post, Kaba Bajo is being recycled to the Fisheries and Water Resources portfolio and Momodou Tangara replaces Mr. Kah of Trade, Industry and Employment and Alhagy A. Cham  is the new Minister of Works and Communication. Mr. Yusupha Kah is being moved to a new ministry of economic planning.  All the changes are said to have taken effect Thursday 4th February.
