DR. Langley to Be Laid to Rest

The body of a prominent Gambian academic and civil servant, Dr. Jabais Langley is expected to be laid to rest on Monday 30th July. Dr. Langley passed away about six weeks ago in the United States. He served in various capacities in the civil service, including being its head during the First Republic, and has being credited for lots of successes for the country. After leaving government service in the 1990s, Dr. Langley left to teach as professor at the Howard University in the USA.  Dr. Langley has published a seminal work on Pan-Africanism in the late 1960s.
